July 6, 2004 - What do you know? The site has just been updated for the first time since spring. A new exhibit featuring photographs by Christine Diane is now on display in the Gallery.

May 1, 2004 - We've been up for over a year now. Too much school and too little time have interfered with our first anniversary celebration, but we are getting back on track. Four new artists have been added to the Gallery for your enjoyment. More good things to come soon.

March 7, 2004 - Oh my.. it's been a long time, but we are alive and well. The server had been hacked, but everything is fixed now-- special thank you goes to Jay. The Gallery welcomes Jonathan Moore and 4000 Watts - Explorations in Artificial Light.

December 23, 2003 - Wishing you all the magic of the HOLIDAYS! School is out, and I'm hard at work on the site again. A story by Bijou Dove-Skaar is just in, and the Gallery section welcomes two new artists-- Edward Le Poulin and Caroline Moore. Hope your holidays are HAPPY DAYS!

December 4, 2003 - Updates are coming soon! Right now I must concentrate on my exams though, so the work on the site has been temporarily suspended, but submissions are still welcome.

November 15, 2003 - learning to see, featuring photographs by Niamh McDonnell is now on display in the Gallery section.

November 8, 2003 - Further expansion in the Gallery section. I Will Always Bring a Water Pistol With Me Wherever I Go From Now On by Matt Harra, and Caroll' Planque's Archeologie des souvenirs: chronique d'automne are now on display. Also our June cover photo is back by popular demand. Enjoy!

October 11, 2003 - Self Portraits and Surrounding Space, a collection of photographs by Alaina Burri-Stone has just been added.

October 10, 2003 - Drawings and paintings by Stefanie Goodwin are now on display in the Gallery.

October 5, 2003 - The good news-- two new poems, "Boxes" and "Released" by Megan Burger have been added. The bad news-- my fish died, hence the commemorative cover.

October 1, 2003 - Just added "One Forgotten Moment" by Megan Burger. And there's more to come, so stay tuned.

September 28, 2003 - Five new pieces by Leigh Stein have been added to the Writings section.

September 22, 2003 - I am working on adding a Russian section to the site. Meanwhile, here is a new poem-- "ГОРСТЬ ИЗ КАРМАНА" by Тыся Тонкова. And for those of you who haven't learned Russian yet, here is "Beggar's Banquet" by Mike Martens, a coming of age story about the antichrist. Enjoy responsibly!

September 14, 2003 - Two more stories have been added-- "Homerun Harry" by Robert Smith, and "Like Cockatoos" by Tyler Ritter. Enjoy!

August 23, 2003 - Photographic exhibit featuring Jennifer Coombes' latest work has officially opened in the gallery. Cass County, Missouri portrays the struggle between modern growth and small town values and mentality.

August 19, 2003 - Ok, back to business, as they say. Just added a new short story-- "Invisible Against the Sun" by Tyler Ritter. Greatly recommend it!

July 26, 2003 - Ciao, amigos!! Have to apologize for being so erratic with my updates lately. Don’t mean to slack off, it just so happens.. Just got back from Wisconsin, and I am leaving for Michigan in the morning and taking yet another vacation from my vacation.. You are in for a treat though-- three (!) new poems by Robert Smith have just been added.. More updates in a week.

July 16, 2003 - I’m back from California. Poems and stories are still coming, and so are pictures. Patience, my friends..

June 20, 2003 - putting up some more poems..very soon

June 11, 2003 - My PHP quest is going well. I have finished reading the book on essentials on Monday, and have been obsessed with the concept of modular site design for the past few days. The site has been sort of hanging in mid air, as I am waiting for Jay to set up some sort of database I can use. He has been very busy lately, but that cannot last forever, and he’ll get a moment to spare sometime soon, I am hoping.

June 4, 2003 - I have officially started to teach myself PHP3 today. The process turned out to be a slow and painful one, and not at all straightforward and easygoing as I have anticipated. Physical pain came from a root canal that was finished this morning, and mental anguish resulted from my inability to concentrate and consequential failures to properly combine PHP and JavaScript functions so that the two would cooperate. I did manage, however, to write a basic registration kind of thing to collect e-mails, so go ahead, join our mailing list!

June 1, 2003 - Maria's graduation party pics can be found here. Thanks to all who came and to all who meant to but did not.
I am in the process of remodeling the site yet again. As you may already know, our R&D department has recently acquired a Mac PowerBook G4 (Maria’s graduation present); consequently I learned that the absolute positioning coordinates work differently in its browsers, so I’ve decided to abandon them. I was also unhappy with the way table borders were displayed— way too thick for my liking. So the update I am implementing fixes that as well.

May 27, 2003 - Photos from the Spring Dance Showcase are up for your viewing pleasure. The show was fantastic, to say the least, so if you have missed it this year, you should definitely make a note and come to the Second Annual.

May 22, 2003 - I haven't been reporting the latest changes for a week or so; but today I am finally getting around to it. First off, my long-awaited freedom has arrived at last, which means I will be *hopefully* spending a lot more time developing the content for this site.
Secondly (although, perhaps, I should have started with this), I would like to congratulate my sister on her BS in Electrical Engineering. So a loud Woohoo! for Maria. Kudos also go to our friends and her classmates Deepti and Michael. Gargantuan thank you to Deepti for the best elephant ever!!! Graduation pictures are coming soon; the delay is due to the awful job by the lab—- the prints are so contrasty, one has to wonder how the photo technician can drive, given the severity of her vision problems.
As far as recent changes and updates go, the Writings section has been completely redone. I am still looking for a more suitable picture, but other than that, I am quite happy with the layout. New works by Jonas Jarvis and Robert Smith are just in, and highly recommended. The front page is still unbalanced, but I am working on it as we speak. Oh, and before I forget-- I have also added a Daily Poll feature, so if you have any interesting questions, please e-mail.

May 10, 2003 - Apparently, a lot of people with older computers, smaller monitors, and outdated software are unable to view this page in all its glory.
I learned that some systems screw up text formatting, thus preventing navigational bar from displaying properly. Also, after watching several people access the site, I have noticed a lot of confusion caused by the main page being in a pop-up window. Therefore, some design changes are being implemented to improve your browsing experience. The site is open during reconstruction, although you will have to bear with the Writings page being a complete mess for the next week or so.

May 9, 2003 - Another wonderful exhibition has officially opened its doors. The Gallery’s latest feature is a newly picked compilation of documentary and travel photographs by Svetlana Sergueeva.

May 3, 2003 - A poem by Betsy Malm has been added.

May 1, 2003 - It has been raining cats and dogs for the past two days.
I am studying for finals; the first one is on Monday. As for the website, I have received a short essay from Anna Peryshkina detailing a chemistry accident she had caused during her freshman year in college. You may find it in the Writings section. There is another update pending in the Gallery section. Three spectacular photographs by Erna Razgulina have been added, and there are more to come soon, so be sure to check back. The server was offline for a little while as it had been moved across town to Justin's new office.

April 27, 2003 - Added the Talk section. Took me forever to figure out how to combine css and php, but it all works now. Go say something!

April 19, 2003 - Beautiful photographs by Dr. Felix Izrailev are now on display in the Gallery. The pictures I recently took at the Orchesis performance are up there as well. Enjoy!

April 13, 2003 - I am officially on hiatus-- it's finals time!

April 6, 2003 - Did not do a thing for the site today (besides writing this entry, of course). Sad, but true...

April 5, 2003 - I have actually figured out how to get rid of those mysterious black lines in Netscape, so maybe you won't need the latest version of IE to view this site the way it was meant to be seen, after all; turns out my panic yesterday was unwarranted.

April 4, 2003 - Worked on the layout a bit. I have achieved the desired result in IE, and was quite content with myself. My joy did not last long, however, as I checked to see how the site looks in Netscape. My friend Michael also checked Opera, only to find that the scroll bar doesn't line up with the header. So while I am striving for a "viewable with any browser" site, it just might be a sound idea to download IE. Who knows how long will it take me to hammer all the bugs out...

April 3, 2003 - Added a navigational bar at the top. The sections have yet to be finalized, but we are getting organized.

April 2, 2003 - Worked on style sheets; the text will soon become non-resizable-- no more layout screw-ups.

April 1, 2003 - The page was down today. I got rid of the old server, but could not figure out how to set up the new one. E-mailed Jay for help.

March 31, 2003 - Today is the back to school day for me, and I still have not finished the Appellate brief that is due rather soon.. such a procrastinator.

March 30, 2003 - I am in the process of changing servers. Special thanks to my friend Jay for helping with the whole process.

March 29, 2003 - Published Imperfect Beauty-- another short piece. This would probably be the last update for a little while, since my spring break is almost over; school resumes this Monday.

March 28, 2003 - Added some poems and a short story

March 27, 2003 - Welcome page set up

March 26, 2003 - Domain purchased
